MSP HQL COURSE - One Stop Service

Name: MD Handgun Qualification License
Cost: $150
(includes Onsite Livescan Fingerprinting and Online Application Support)

Purpose: Satify the State of Maryland's minimum application requirement to apply for your HQL to purhase, transfer or rent handgun in Maryland. Training exemptions apply, if applicable.

Welcome to IOTA FIrearms & Security Training Academy, a Division of The IOTA Group. Our multipurpose building and classrooms are located at ITOA Training Center - Bluegrass Query, nestled within the quarry's tree-lined, grassy island property.

IOTA Training Center is .02 miles from the Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore in Marriottsville.

For the safety of everyone engaged in firearms training programs, LOADED FIREARMS AND LIVE AMMUNITION are not permitted in our classrooms and shall only be used while on the range.

Instruction on safety is paramount in every phase of our training, no matter the discipline. Prior to range coaching or qualification, full-size Next Level Laser Pistols are used for simulation drills practiced repetitively for Instructor assessment of participant safe gun handling, comprehension of rules, practical fundamental skills and operation.

It's All In The Grip

One of the more common problems new shooters experience is inconsistent or improper hand placement on their grip. Having the proper grip is just one of the important five shooting fundamentals to achieve accuracy.

Acquiring the proper grip is more than simply grabbing the object to be fired and wrapping your hand around the "grip." The vast majority of shooters find that the proper grip provides more control, steadier aiming, better recoil absorption, and stronger retention.

Grip consistency is essential for accurate shooting. Note that the proper grip for one shooting tool may not be appropriate for another. Your grip may vary depending upon the shape of the shooting tool's frame or design.
